The 2018 Luton International Carnival takes place on Sunday May 27th 2018,
and the theme this year is “Home Is Where The Heart Is”.
Organised by the UK Centre for Carnival Arts the celebrations will begin around midday in Wardown Park, where you can sample an array of food stalls and purchase special gifts from arts and craft stalls!
A visit to the new Community Stage, which opens at 1pm is a must where the local talent of Luton will be performing for you. The colourful creative carnival parade will begin at 1.30pm starting on New Bedford Road moving to Stockingstone Road and onto Old Bedford Road where the judging will take place.
In addition to the colourful parade, audiences can enjoy one of three sound sites, fairground rides and experience our growing health and wellbeing area with lots of free, fun activities for all the family. Try your hand at tug-of-war; football games; large chess and Connect 4.
Luton International Carnival begins at 12 noon and closes at 6pm. With over 40 carnival mas bands parading, it’s sure to be a sea of spectacular colour and buzzing Caribbean sounds.
